I have always ensured that women and women-owned businesses were a big part of any org/chamber/business/social boards and events. We had several women-owned biz that were very active in city politics and I encouraged that.In other orgs, our focus often was women anyway (senior center, anti-pesticide groups, a native american area of WA with large numbers of stillbirths). Always a champion of ERA, since my mom was active in the 70s! Brought to our shop educational days about ERA & prev women’s runs for Pres. Girls too, with our Kids Club members and 12 yr old president and events. Attended SBA women’s events to bring info to my area.
