As
Chamber Pres, I put Wallingford on the map, literally – city tourism
board had other areas for years, not Wallingford. I designed and
produced the area map with the first use of a QR code. I grew the
Chamber’s membership greatly, formed collaborations with other community
groups, brought Candidates into member meetings, brought a Farmers
Market to the area, still there. Began an area Earth Day celebration,
Trick or Treat among the businesses, a local holiday event, more. I
accomplished more than I thought was possible, largely alone, while
owning & managing a gift shop which became sort of community social
zone at times. I’m a great multi-tasker, but this was a lot… I am
proud that even 10 years later people and businesses miss my shop, and
me in the Chamber!
